My First Stay at La Quinta Inn, Auburn, Massachusetts — Review

Looking for a place to stay for the Garth Brooks concert, I settled on the La Quinta Inn in Auburn, Massachusetts, which was only a stone’s throw away from the DCU venue in Springfield where the concert was being held. The rate was affordable for me (around $110) and the location was great. I have never stayed at the La Quinta, so I didn’t know what to expect. I have to say that this is the part I hate about traveling the most. I want to stay away from home, just not in a bed that someone else has slept in. I know, I know. I can’t travel without it and I’ll get over it, but for about 10 minutes when I check in to any hotel, my anxiety is at its highest.

When we pulled up to the Inn, I have to say I wasn’t impressed. Didn’t really look in very good condition at first sight. We went in, but my hopes weren’t high. Listen up La Quinta Inn, I admit when I am wrong and I was soooo wrong. This was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Not one fuzz, not one hair, not one thing out of place. And I check every corner and every aspect of the room. I figured the bathroom would have ‘something’ but I was wrong. Spotless.  Immaculate.

The bed was really comfortable too. I have a metal rod in my back and I usually wake up in a hotel feeling well rested, but my back ends up being a bit sore. Not in this hotel. Okay, maybe I was so exhausted I just slept through it all. I don’t know, but I didn’t care. I hope the other La Quintas are like this. I’ll definitely be checking them out when I stay other places.
